Hey lots of things to tell ---some of you already know. Last Monday I had to go to Qatar for a visa run----I have a five year visa and a CPR card but I still have to leave the country every 4 weeks. I went over to Qatar about a 20 minute flight---you don't get up good until you are down. I visited with a couple from Texas that works for the same company and then returned that night. They took me for lunch in a beautiful mall. The ceiling looked like the sky. The clouds actually looked as if they were moving. Beautiful----I didn't take my camera out because I didn't see many tourist there and not sure. That afternoon after work Frank Wayne came over for a visit. It sure was nice to see someone from home. I enjoyed the visit. When I got back to the airport, I was upgraded to first class ---yea for only 25 minutes home--why can't I get that on the long haul flights----HAHAHA.

Ryan got a promotion and we are so proud of his accomplishments!!!!!! He has a busy summer coming up and is going to try to squeeze a trip over soon.

Our landlord gave Bill and I complimentary memberships to the Country Club here. It is a very nice place and also close by so no getting out on the main highways to go to a nice dinner. They have four restaurant there and people who have eaten there say the steaks are wonderful. His wife is so nice to me. She cooked for me while Bill was in the US in May, given me shopping tips and invited us to go boating with them when she returns from her Holiday. It sure is nice to have good neighbors!!!!!

I have never noticed but yesterday I saw that all the imported items, chips, dishwasher tablets, cheese etc are not packaged like they are in the States. They are packaged in foil wrappers. The packages look the same but are foil lined. I had brought with me some Finish Power Ball dishwasher tablets (not knowing if I could get them here) they are starting to crumble----I guess the moisture is seeping into the plastic wraps. But needless to say ----you can buy them here in foil lined packs. I don't think there is much you can not buy here. I am going to ask about andouille from the market was soon as the pork ban from the US is over.

I know I have mentioned that we have date trees-----they are loaded with dates and are ready to be picked. This compound is so pretty. I will try to upload some pictures later today. I woke up early this morning very congested and know why now that the sun is up the humidity has to be 90 % ---all of the windows are covered with moisture on the outside. Don't think it is the heat here as much as the humidity.

Only Sara and Jarret have guessed on the picture in a earlier post. Does everyone know what it was? Jarret knows.

Going to go out and water the plants -----will post pictures of compound later.

Cheers!
